HEAD COACH

Hello! I’m Candice Love, and I’m entering my second season as Head Coach of Sheldon Water Polo.

I played Division II NCAA water polo at Fresno Pacific University, where I earned my B.A. in Liberal Studies in 2017. My coaching journey began early, at just 12 years old, when I started helping with the youngest group on my swim team. Throughout high school and college, I continued coaching with Fig Garden Swim Team and West Fresno Water Polo Club. After graduating, I returned to my alma mater, Edison High School, where I served as Head Swim Coach and Head Girls Water Polo Coach for four years. 

In over 15 years of coaching, I never get tired of teaching new skills and helping students grow. My coaching style emphasizes athlete development and well-being, with a focus on fundamentals, technique, and teamwork. I believe water polo teaches valuable life lessons, encourages a healthy lifestyle, and helps players set and achieve meaningful goals.

When I’m not on the pool deck, you’ll likely find me outdoors with my husband, Kody. We love rock climbing, skiing, kayaking, hiking, and swimming in natural pools
